When We Were Young

Book Review from 2007

This, as the title suggests, is a collection of childhood memories from the rich and famous.

Contributions come from HRH The Princess Margret, Jilly Cooper, Roald Dhal and of course Ernie Wise.

Ernie's contribution is one page accompanied by a photo of him as a young performer. The photo in question is the one of Ernie on a check suit tipping a bowler hat.

The memory Ernie shares with us is about a budgie that he was given by a working mens club and its subsequent escape.
