Eric`s suit
On what would have been Eric`s 90th birthday, Lancaster Museum opens its new exhibition centred around Morecambe and Wise. Running from 14th May 2016 to 10th July 2016, the exhibition features a host of personal items donated by Eric`s family including his typewriter, fishing tackle and top hat.
Also on display are two suits, never before been displayed, kindly supplied the V&A museum in London.
Each stage of the comedy duos life is documented on large posters and stands, recounting the story of how the two comedians became to be Britain`s best loved comedy act. From the first disastrous television show Running Wild, to pulling in an audience of 28 million.
Alongside the stories are items of memorabilia including theatre flyers, scripts, movie posters and records.
Visit our gallery to see some images taken from the opening, attended by Eric`s daughter, Gail.
