In February 2009, Wells Bombardier ran a £1million advertising campaign which sees the beer continue its fifteen year reign as the ‘Drink of England.’
The new advertising appeared on over 5,000 ‘bus stop’ style posters across the country. And for the first time, the advertising features Bombardier’s status as the Official Beer of English Heritage.
If anyone has any pics of these, please send them to us, as our little part of the UK must have been missed out!
The visually striking adverts put Bombardier at the heart of everything that is positively English in a modern interpretation of a coat of arms.
The adverts feature English icons ranging from Queen Victoria, Les Dawson, pork pies, the Red Arrows, Punch and Judy, bulldogs and Eric Morecambe.
Bombardier is the most English of beers - brewed right in the heart of England with accredited natural mineral water from the brewery’s very own well. It is available across England in good cask ale pubs, or it is available in bottles and cans at supermarkets and off licenses.
I wonder if they will produce t-shirts with these on – that would be great.
