Morecambe and Wife
Book Review from 2007
Cover
Published the year after Eric had died, this is a moving tribute to Eric Morecambe.
Written by Joan Morecambe it is a truly wonderful book and truly does focus on Eric the man, Eric the husband and Eric the family man.
It is not written as a factual account of Eric’s life, nor is it an account of Eric and Ernie’s time together. It is an account of life with Eric from Joan’s perspective.
The book is littered with wonderful personal stories about her life with Eric. Stories about there fish pond and herons, a dog called Chippy and the painful times surrounding Eric’s health. Throughout the book are many personal and candid photos.
I would recommend this book as a must have.
