Paul Hendy has written and directed what is probably the best short film about comedy we have ever seen. It is set is a dressing room and revolves around a conversation with Bob Monkhouse, Tommy Cooper and Eric Morecambe.
Staring Bob Golding, the man who was in the fabulous stage show `Morecambe`, this really is worth watching. It is funny, clever and poignant.

The BBC are to make a new biographical film about Eddie Braben, Eric and Ernie’s script writer for most of the career. Eddie, Ken Dodd’s gag man joined Eric and Ern when they left ATV for the opportunity to produce shows in colour.
Their writers did not follow them to the BBC and so Ken was drafted in. The rest, is history.

Eric`s famous Jensen Interceptor will be put up for auction and is expected to fetch in the region of £150,000.
The car, originally purchased by Eric in 1968 for just £4,500 has gone through several owners and eventually ended up with Silverstone Auctions. There it was completely stripped down and re-built from the ground up.
Recently shown at the London Classic Car Show, this was a firm favourite with Eric and also his chauffeur Mike Fountain.
If you want a piece of history and have the cash to spare, this is a gem of a car.

Many fund raising events have taken place over the last 12 months, but it seems the project has stalled. There seems to be confusion about the exact reasons with both the project coordinators and Morecambe council claiming different things.

The 1968 Jensen Interceptor owned by Eric Morecambe is currently being restored to all its glory. This painstaking process is being fully documented on a new website that includes a lot of photographs. The car was origianlly rescued by Pieter-Jan Baert who then sold it on to Silverstone Auctions.
